This is beyond my own means and frankly on the fringe of my interests, but have you seen these guys?

Yeah, I've thought of doing that.  Probably US$100k to
get some -104 stick time, I'm guessing?

On my headstone they can put,

"He spent most of his money on airplanes, cars, motorcycles
and women.  The rest, he wasted"

Beats me, these companies are wizards at not posting their rates anywhere.  I think there used to be an outfit in Russia that would plunk you in the back hole of a two seat MiG 25 (or 31?) and get you up to 50-60,000 feet or more for $20k USD.  With differing equipment costs and insurance and whatnot between hemispheres I don't know if that can even be extrapolated into a guess as to what a ride in a -104 costs.

Might be better to just get your own and have others pay you to fly it.  I think any old CFI in the US could do that, no?

The trick in giving rides in the US is actually the aircraft.

If the aircraft is certified, all it needs is 100 hour checks
and you can give instruction on it, even if you don't have
a CFI.  My old friend Freddy gave aerobatic rides and
instruction for decades on his S-2A/S-2B/S-2C and sometimes
his tachometer was connected, and he wasn't a CFI, just
an ATP.

Now, if the aircraft is experimental, then it's not legal to
accept money for rides on it, by definition .... unless you
apply to your FSDO for a "letter of deviance" (really) from
the FARs.  Lots of people do this.  My friend Steve Johnson
got one to instruct on his experimental MX2, and Larry in
Sante Fe is the man when it comes to jet warbird type
ratings.

I've got my eye on an east bloc jet.  When I buy it, I will
see if the local FSDO will let me give rides on it.  What a
barrel of monkeys that thing is!

I gotta visit Larry in NM and get my L29/L39 type ratings
on my FAA ATP - they don't transfer across.  I should also
get some MiG-15/17/21 time.  Long term, I'd like to get a
MiG-21.  Fun to give rides in that mother.  It's not a -104
but a -21 would be a hoot.

I have it on good authority that the -104 is fine right up until you try a -101.  Good luck finding a voodoo anywhere near airworthy though.

You might be surprised, but I'd take a flight in a -105 over a -101  ;D

I worked for a guy who owned 3 F86's,  a F 100,  a Mig 21, a Fuga and a Huey Cobra.

The Mig 21 was an ugly looking motherfucker.

But they are fast.

Be a lot easier to find a Thunderchief than an Arrow...

You may be able to buy a Kfir or a MiG 27 from the SriLankan Airforce.

They've got a few of each that are no longer flying. No idea what state they are in or what it would take to get one back to flying condition. They were flying 6 years ago.

Everything is for sale in Sri Lanka - just a matter of paying the right people! 'Business' is all about the bribes and kickbacks - not about the actual sale. You do need to be careful doing 'Business' in that part of the world - very easy to end up with empty hands and an empty wallet!

You could probably disassemble the aircraft and ship it in a container.
