Scud, you should talk to me more. First time I saw this Frontpage guy I had my hand on the Ban Hammer. Then I had some rum and left him alone to see what sort of trouble he was here to cause. Looks like it's a new feature. Seems good but still made my eye twitch. Me and ole Flash hate it when that happened. Goo goo goo.

Wow... that was frightening, it is one thing to try and water ski but that was really quite concerning the lack of pitch control and the aggressive way he contacted the water.

But as most here already know I think water skiing in a wheel airplane is just plain stupid.

I'm with Chuck.  "Waterskiing" in a wheeled aircraft is like masturbating in a whore house.  I mean, you can do it, but other than getting rid of "the easy one", what's the point?

Here is the danger.

In my opinion water skiing a wheel equipped airplane is dangerous use of an airplane and should be prosecuted.

Especially weird that he touches down with some sort of negative attitude. You'd think he'd touch down with the nose a bit higher, at least positive attitude, so that added engine power helps to lift of the water again if you (are about to) screw it up.

Not only that but the water was almost glassy and he just flared and touched down on it.

As to the wheels digging in instead of planing on the water when that happens it is so fast you don't have a chance to raise the nose.

Of all the unusual things some pilots try just for fun this is one of the most dangerous thing to do, getting killed is very possible doing this stunt.

Also your insurance will be invalid because the airplane is being operated outside of its operating certificate.

The reason for the nose-low attitude was because he was hauling ass (for a Tiger Moth).  Remember that the faster you push a wing through the air the lesser the angle of attack it will need for a given amount of lift.  All that speed was likely to stack the deck in his favour since a higher speed will hydroplane better and hopefully prevent the wheels from digging in and flipping the whole works.

FrontPage auto posts my "front page" (sub domain)postings.I make them and put a link on Facebook and it draws people to the site. In return we have been attracting new users and viewers.

Any subject about anything aviation is what an aviation forum needs, this subject is a very interesting one and adds to the general enjoyment of reading the forum.

Then each reader can give their thoughts on the subjects.

That is why we read and post on a forum.  :)

As I have previously said this site will eventually be big, really big.  :) :) :)
