Just in case anyone here is interested I just finished the Harv's air ground school and highly recommend it. (And p.s. I have no affiliation with the school).
If you're looking for a review of ground school stuff as a weekend warrior it's excellent and takes you well beyond the PPL level (although in some parts it might be overkill for a review aimed at recreational flying) Lots of very good information and the videos are informative. The practice exams are excellent.
In terms of books, I recommend Sharper Edge Commercial Exam Prep. I didn't think the Commercial version From the Ground Up, called Flying Beyond and its Commercial Exam Prep was as good. However the text does have some good additional information.
