These adds are getting more detailed all the time, they include every conceivable thing the mind can think of, the only thing they miss is the pilot must wipe his/her ass after having a crap while on duty.
The world is going nuts with all the lawyers running our lives.
Pilot needed adds.

It's more a function of some snivelling snots who get the positions. I'm not referring to everyone but it's still not uncommon to hear "I refuse to _________ because I didn't expect I'd have to." You can fill the blank with anything too: flight planning, crossing lap belts between flights, reading and following company manuals, understanding how the plane's anti-ice works, being sober at the start of their duty day, or whatever. When you have someone sign up with an exhaustive list of things they have to do it strips away any grounds to gripe about expectations later. Well, to gripe about surprise expectations anyways.
I wish I were exaggerating on that list.
