I may as well get a pizza and check into a extended care facility. Dog gone kids don't even know who Meg Ryan is.

Val Kilmer was saying there was still talk and negotiations for a sequel last year.

Don't go there.  It's not a happy place.

I must be raising my kid wrong, hes 2 1/4 and tried to run up the metal slide after watching some older kid do it. He bailed banged his head and looked at my stone cold face.

He didn't react at all grab his head got up and wanted to try it again. Only when some snowflakes mom started "oh my are you ok? did you hurt your head" thats when he reacted and started crying.

I was only 6 feet away walked over and said "thanks hes fine" plunked him back down and told him to try again. The look on her face like im Hitler, I thought fuck off an go wrap your kid in Nerf.

He kept trying, never did get it.  Still too little, but guess what his arms went up every time after and protected his head. Proud dad moment.

Back to aviation, I swear the new pilots curriculum teaches flying is dangerous! especially "up north". This usually come up after I said I use fly up there.  Maybe that's why I liked that type of flying no one told me what my limits should be, go figure them out and don't be stupid.

The world has become a strange place.  I suppose
that is my reward for survival.

I remember, I think it was back in 1996, my first
divorce.  Nuclear capable.  I still don't think I'm
allowed to own guns in Canada.  The judge, in a
ex-parte session, had my RRSP seized and given
to my ex-wife's lawyer.  I had earn money, after
tax, to pay the tax on the withdrawl, afterwards.

Anyways, here I am being deposed by my ex-wife's
lawyer.  He's on the attack, trying to prove that I'm
a BAD PERSON and not worthy of anything, because
I let my young son (who grew up to be an airshow
pilot and engineer) pee behind the hangar.

The ex-wife's lawyer really tore into me, as a BAD
PARENT for taking my young son to the airport.

I thought for a moment and replied, "Well, my father
took me to a lot of airports when I was a kid, and
look what a great person I turned out to be".

That was the high point of my first divorce.  There
were not many others.

Anyways, I'm sure all GOOD CANADIANS think I'm
a horrible person for spending so much time with my
son when he was young, but he seems to have turned
out ok, imho.

He flew amazing wing for a 19 year old in that
airshow.  He's one of the few people that actually
listen to what I say.  Most Canadians think I'm really
stupid, compared to them.

It's funny, a lot of Americans think I can fly pretty
well, and am not a bad engineer.  I guess Americans
are all pretty stupid compared to Canadians.

I told my wife early on, "Don't look worried or get upset when they fall. Let them tell us if it hurt."

Worked well most of the time.

She got a bit too good at it. We were waiting for our daughter to come back from brownie camp. Don't remember how old little brother was but he was playing and climbing on a steel fence in the parking lot, he falls and lands on his mouth on a concrete retaining wall. He seems pretty upset, Mom keeps telling him, "Settle down, you're fine."

After he finally does "settle down" I figured he made a pretty big fuss, I ask him to let me see in his mouth. "Ok, you can go play again after you show mommy your new chipped tooth."

It's funnier now. Thankfully it was a baby tooth so he did not have to get it fixed like Jim Carry.

I just read on friendface that Val admitted he has been dealing with throat cancer. I liked him in quite a few movies. "I'm your Huckleberry." Hope he gets better.
