I think Dear Old Dad used to call those "Expeditors". You would jump in them
when you wanted to run an errand someplace.
Because the pilots back then had trained on Harvards (T-6) it worked out ok.

Every picture in the thread looks pretty good so far. I like the colour it was last done in but other than having to polish more often, the bare certainly is a great choice.

I moved the wings and tail yesterday. That was a fun trip on the shitty bumpy county roads.
I don’t know how I avoided damaging the cargo, but alas, maybe they’re still good to go when I reinstall them in a few years.
My buddy took the wings, First stop to check the tie downs. We had stop stop and find salvation along the way. The road in town just a few miles short of the airport were the worst of the entire trip. It was about 35 miles, took just about an hour.

I've created a website to help track our progress restoring this old bird:
www.barelyaviated.com
It'll be in my signature line and will do my best to update it with pics, videos and useless comments.

Morning inspiration: multi-plane, multi-engine formation!
The camera operator thought that it would help if he shook it, but I enjoyed it anyways.
I love these museum pieces. Hell, I am one!
EDIT
A beautiful wheel landing:
