The longer flights I've done, after you get to cruise altitude and the
auto-pilot is on and the wx is good, are kind of relaxing.

Take in the sunshine. Read a magazine. Think about where you're
going to go for dinner.

There are much worse ways to spend the day!

A very different kind of flying from my normal, which is 0.1 or 0.2
on the tach with all the knobs forward, flown vertically over the
runway. After one flight like that, which doesn't look like much in
the logbook, I'm sweaty and exhausted and I'm done flying for the day.

Me #3. You like my intercept angle? A really shitty F-104 pilot is #2,
according to the Big Bellies in Tower C. They're all much better sticks
than F-104, U-2 or SR-71 drivers.
