Funny, with all these heroic tall tales of virtue-signalling people flying
ILS's in IMC with no electrical power, and only a compass ...

It's really too bad that no pilot today owns a phone.

Yeah, it's too bad that pilots today can only use their phone for Facebook
and selfies - they can't use the GPS and the incredibly powerful CPU and
GPU.  It's really unfortunate.

Not sure I trust my phone enough for IMC but I have used it on a NORDO cross country in open cockpit planes to ask the guy I was following if he was lost.
