If that is for real, it must have generated dozens of SMS reports, right?

It would be an intersesting exercise for TC to go back through their SMS records..

I see a pressure wand there and while they are not the greatest a pressure washer does work if it has a furnace or if you are putting heated fluid through it. Did they use it, I guess not but having said that did they actually prove there was ice on the aircraft or are the speculating as they did with Aero Air DC8

You are connecting dots that might not be there. The equipment shown here does not necessarily mean they took off with contamination, or used it.  The sense I got was that this was the equipment they had in Fond du lac.

Considering that the yellow can would hold about 22 litres, and 50% dilution, 44 litres or so is not really going to do much for decontaminating an ATR, I dont think.

That is a pressure washer wand and has nothing to do with the rest of what is in the picture. They likely remove that from the unit when not in use. No one in their right mind would even try and deice anything larger than a small aircraft with a piss pack. I would still like to know if they actually found contamination on the aircraft or if their finding conclude it must be ice since they could find nothing else -- Aero Air was a cover up according to several high placed sources ( I personally know one who resigned over that finding) One picture like that does not tell the whole story, unless you are a news agency.

For sure it will be interesting to see how the lawsuits go.
