Oops. A friend of mine flew to Canada today for the first time.

I forgot to mention this weird tower-lite class D-ish “Radio” thing where a pissed off FSS guy runs the freq.

No analogy here. My bad.

Sounds like he flew to Sudbury.

Heh. No, he sent me this weird text after he flew to Canada that sometimes with a CTAF there was a guy on the ground whom was kind of bossy.

I said, Oh yeah, Radio!

Down here there either is a Tower, or there isn’t. There isn’t an inbetween. Once again, I looked like a knob for not mentioning it.

Be nice to him, ok? He has a very smooth running Lycoming and a great dog with him. When you meet him on the ramp - not hard to spot him - tell him Andrew says “hi”.

I gave him some dual at Byron and RHV. The quality of tailwheel instruction today is a tad spotty. You know things have gotten pretty bad when you see me in the right seat in the pattern.
