the total irony is that I thought he was one of the most under acknowledged artists of his time, a string of hit songs mostly performed by Clapton, I had all his albums and cd's. I was so pleased that Clapton did an album with him. I think it was wonderful way of him saying thank you. Cale was a true road warrior touring in a clapped of bus. My only regret is I never got to see him live.

JJ Cale is one of those musicians whom is far better known by (and regarded amongst)
other musicians, rather than the general population.

There are so many gems out there that never get into the mainstream. You Tube has a wealth of these artists. I spend many evenings just searching these people/groups out on that platform.

Like this guy who plays a fretless guitar, what the fuck is that!!. I'm a big slide guitar fan and this is just takes it to another level.
