That airplane has showed up on Barnstormers and Controller a number of times over the last few years.  I've wondered about it as well, always thought it was a Titan T-51 but they don't offer a 4 liter engine.  May still be a Titan, and he's developed his own engine package, which makes me more cautious, not that I'm in the market anyway.  ;^)

Homebuilt full-scale Spitfire replica with Allison V-12 and DC-3 propeller.  Damn, that looks like fun!

Ok, that is amazing. Shame on EAA for not having a picture but I found a video pretty easily.

Hmmm...  I see two images in that link.  Perhaps you're not logged in / member of EAA?


Love that piece of video as well.  It appeared in the EAA Chapter Video Magazine a few months ago.

Interesting. Nope, I did not log in. My mistake I guess. Someone needs to sponsor those two guys to build a bunch of replicas. That plane is incredible.
